What is GMGN Copy Trade?
GMGN Copy Trade mirrors a wallet's swaps into your own account, with caps on position size, a slippage limit and automatic take-profit. It sits inside GMGN, so the leaderboard you used to pick the address and the bot that follows it are on one screen. That convenience is the product: nothing here is possible that a separate alert service and your own finger could not do, it simply happens without you.
Use it when
- You have already read a wallet's history and decided it is worth following
- You want exits mirrored as well as entries, which is the setting most people leave off
- You want a fixed amount per copied trade rather than a share of the leader's size
- You are already using GMGN and do not want a second tool in the loop
Skip it when
- You have not verified the wallet yourself – the leaderboard ranks by outcome, not by process
- The wallet scalps in seconds, which no copy bot reaches in time
- You would not take these trades manually. Automation does not improve a decision, it repeats it
And if you do:
- Copying entries without exits turns the leader's round trip into your position, held with no plan
- Their fill is never your fill, and on a thin pool the gap is the whole edge
- A wallet that knows it is followed can trade for the audience
- A wallet going quiet and a wallet waiting look identical from here
What you are actually paying for
A percentage on each copied trade, charged on the way in and again on the way out, on top of the pool fee and gas. Four layers, two of which apply twice. A strategy that clears them has to beat the wallet you are copying by more than it looks – and you are already behind it by the latency between its fill and yours.
GMGN Copy Trade FAQ
How much does GMGN copy trading cost?
A percentage of each copied trade, applied on the buy and again on the sell, on top of the pool fee and gas. Since copying doubles the number of trades you make, the fee stack matters more here than on manual trading.
Does it copy sells as well as buys?
It can, and this is the setting that decides the result. Mirroring entries without exits leaves you holding a position whose plan belonged to someone else, which is the most common way copytrading loses money on a wallet that made money.
Can you copy trade without giving up custody?
It runs from either the hosted wallet or your own. The hosted one is faster to set up and means the service holds a key; your own keeps custody and is the reason to accept slightly more friction.
